(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Work crews will be shutting down U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg during overnight hours this week.

Workers will be setting new bridge beams on the U.S. 50 Eastbound Tanners Creek Bridge between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. starting Monday night and going through Saturday morning, August 14 through 18.

The highway will be closed to traffic intermittently. The Indiana Department of Transportation said last week that the work will be dependent upon weather conditions and the level of Tanners Creek.

Motorists hoping to avoid the possible delays on U.S. 50 can use State Road 48 to Pribble Road to State Road 1. Pribble Road had been closed for a slip repair project since July 27, but the Dearborn County Highway Department announced the reopening of the road on Friday.
