(St. Leon, Ind.) – An East Central High School student athlete will continue her athletic and academic career at the collegiate level.

Brittanie Bolten, a senior student and member of the Trojans’ girls golf team, has signed a national letter of intent to play golf next season at Alderson-Broaddus University in Philippi, West Virginia, the school announced Friday.

According to the ECHS athletic department, Brittanie had a tremendous career at East Central as she qualified for the IHSAA Regional in 2012 and was EIAC All-Conference in 2013. The regional qualification was the first for East Central in over 15 years. She also won multiple team awards in her high school career.

Bolten, the daughter of Jeff and Brenda Bolten of Lawrenceburg, plans to major in criminal justice.
