Firefighters Douse Vehicle Fire

(Aurora, Ind.) – A car caught fire on U.S. 50 in Aurora Sunday evening.

Firefighters with the Aurora Fire Department responded to the scene on U.S. 50 near Shady Lane Trailer Court at about 5:04 p.m. When they arrived the vehicle was fully involved.

Firefighters extinguished the fire, which was believed to be caused by a mechanical problem. No injuries were reported.

The fire department said the vehicle was owned by Ray Bevis, of Aurora.

Aurora Fire Department was assisted by Aurora EMS, Dearborn County Sheriff’s Department, and the Aurora Police Department.
