(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A rainy Tuesday has put a portion of Eagle Country under a Flood Advisory.

The National Weather Service says the Flood Advisory is in effect for Franklin, Ripley and Dearborn counties in Indiana and Boone County in northern Kentucky until 5:30.

Late afternoon thunderstorms could produce heavy rain. Up to an inch of rain has already fallen on saturated ground, and up to another inch of rain will be possible.

Minor flooding of low-lying and poorly drained streets, highways and underpasses will occur. In addition, farmland near creeks, streams and drainage ditches will experience minor flooding.
