Florence Freedom Set Sights On Frontier League Championship

(Florence, Ky.) – Three more wins and the Florence Freedom can call themselves champions.

On Saturday, the Freedom completed a 3-1 series win over the Washington Wild Things to advance to the Frontier League Championship Series.

The Freedom will take on the Schaumburg Boomers in a five-game series beginning on Tuesday, September 12.

Florence and Schaumburg met 15 times in the 2017 regular season, with the Freedom taking the regular season series 9-6.

The first two games of the FLSC will be played in Schaumburg with the Freedom returning home for Game 3 on Friday, September 15 and Game 4 on Saturday, September 16.

First pitch on Friday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Game 4 will start at 6:05 on Saturday.

Attendees are asked to “white out” the ballpark during this week’s games. Individual tickets can be purchased for $15 in advance, or $20 on gameday. Championship passes, which are good for both home games, can be purchased Monday through Thursday for $10. Groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $5 each.
