Former Dispatcher Accused Of Releasing Confidential Information

(Greensburg, Ind.) – A former police dispatcher has been arrested for releasing confidential information.
Indiana State Police were notified in January that Young Soo Sung, 33, of Greensburg, allegedly released confidential information while he was a dispatcher for Decatur County 911 between September and December of 2017.
Police say Sung obtained the information from electronic criminal investigative files utilized by Greensburg Police and Decatur County Sheriff’s Department. He then allegedly shared photos and information with acquaintances.
Sung also allegedly mishandled confidential information while he worked part-time as registrar at Decatur County Memorial Hospital.
Sung was removed from both positions are charged with one count of Official Misconduct (Level 6 felony) and two counts of Offenses Against Intellectual Property (Level 6 felony).
The case is pending in Decatur County Court.
