Former EC Softball Star Earns HCAC Player Of The Week Honors

(Cincinnati, Oh.) – A former East Central High School softball standout has earned Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference weekly honors.

Savannagh Sturgill was recognized as the HCAC Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The Mount St. Joseph sophomore went 8-15 (.533) over four games. She also drove in six runs and scored seven times herself.

For the season, Sturgill is hitting .354 with five home runs and 26 RBI over 30 games.

The Lions softball team currently has a record of 20-10 with an 8-2 record in the HCAC.
