Multiple light poles were knocked over, utility boxes damaged, drinking fountains pulled from walls, downspouts dented, and missing signs were discovered at Ludlow Hill Park on November 26. Investigators believed the damage had been done over the Thanksgiving weekend.
The crime angered many residents, who enjoy the park in many different ways.
After a thorough investigation, four male juveniles have been charged with Criminal Mischief (class A misdemeanor), Lawrenceburg Chief of Police Donald Combs Jr. announced Monday.
“We are unable to release any identifying information on any of these suspects as they are all under the age of eighteen,” said Combs.
The chief credited Officer Brian Potts, Assistant Chief David Schneider, and Detective Jeremy Shepherd for contributing to the successful completion of the investigation. Combs said the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
