Friendship Camper Accidentally Shoots Self

(Sunman, Ind.) – A Sunman man accidentally shot himself at a campground in Friendship.

The Versailles Republican newspaper reports that Darin Brown, 36, was struck in the thigh when a 9mm handgun he was holding accidentally fired.  The incident happened at the campground in Friendship on Sunday night.

Brown was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center by aircare. His injuries were not believed to be life threatening.

The small town is hosting the nine-day NMLRA National Spring Shoot and the Friendship Flea Market, which each began on Saturday.
