(Hebron, Ky.) – The Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Airport is welcoming four new flights to Washington, D.C.
Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday that it will add the nation’s capitol as its third destination from Cincinnati. There will be four flights on a 168-seat Airbus A320 each week starting September 8.
CVG CEO Candace McGraw said Washington, D.C. is a top destination for local business and leisure travelers.
“Frontier’s continued expansion at CVG shows the community supports the low cost carrier model. We look forward to continued expansion of Frontier Airlines at CVG,” she said.
Frontier, which began flying here in 2013, already offers nonstop service from CVG to Denver and New Jersey.
“We are excited to offer residents in the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky area nonstop service to Colorado, New Jersey, and now the DC area,” said Daniel Shurz, Frontier’s senior vice president, commercial. “We are confident customers will love our amazing low fares to Washington Dulles and our newly launched fare structure that empowers the customer to optimize their travel experience for the comfort and value they seek.”
