Fundraiser Sunday For LHS Student, Hoops Player
By Mike Perleberg
(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – An event this weekend will help out a Lawrenceburg High School student and her family as she battles cancer.
Lauren Hill was diagnosed last November with brain stem glioma. Lauren is the daughter of Brent and Lisa Hill of Lawrenceburg.
The senior student has continued playing on the Lawrenceburg High School girls basketball team during her treatment. She has received plenty of support for her teammates.
Friends and family have organized a benefit to take place Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Agner Hall at the Dearborn County Fairgrounds. All are invited to come help the family raise money for Hill’s treatment and show support.
Country singer Kinsey Rose will perform at the fundraiser. There will also be a photo booth, cornhole tournament, t-shirt and bracelet sales, door prizes, and a raffle. Dinner will include food donated by Whisky’s Restaurant and Tandy’s IGA.
More details on the benefit can be found on Facebook.
For those who cannot make the benefit, but would still like to help the family, donations can be made to the Lauren Hill Cancer Benefit Fund at Fifth Third Bank, 431 West Eads Parkway, Lawrenceburg, Indiana 47025.
