Giant Pumpkins, Music, More At 115th Versailles Pumpkin Show

(Versailles, Ind.) – It’s a sure sign that fall has arrived in Eagle Country. The 115th Versailles Pumpkin Show kicks off Wednesday, September 27.

The annual street festival will run through Sunday, October 1 on the courthouse square in Versailles. It is organized each year by the Versailles Lions Club.

Opening night festivities at the Pumpkin Show include a performance by the South Ripley Young Confederates at 6:15 p.m., the king and queen contest on the main stage at 7:00, and Jessie Strassell will play live music at 8:30.

Thursday evening will include the prince and princess contest at 7:00, then live music from The Yorkridge Boys at 8:15.

Come see what your neighbors can do at the talent show on Friday at 5:00 p.m. The Linda Smith Band will play at 8:00.

One of the Pumpkin Show’s most popular events, the big parade, will be Saturday morning at 10:30. Weighing-in of the giant pumpkins will begin at 12:15 p.m. That evening’s feature entertainment is country artist Dustin Huff at 4:00 and The Belairs show band at 7:30.

A community church service begins the festival Sunday at 11:30. The Pumpkin Show 5K Run/Walk will follow at 1:00 p.m.
