(Vevay, Ind.) – Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb will attend this year’s Swiss Wine Festival.

The governor will serve as the Grand Festival Parade’s grand marshal. Holcomb will be the first governor to be the festival’s grand marshal since Governor Otis R. Bowen rode in the 1974 parade 43 years ago.

“We are very excited about this. It’s very rare that an acting governor attends functions such as this,” an announcement from the Swiss Wine Festival Board of Directors stated.

The 46th Swiss Wine Festival celebrating Switzerland County’s winemaking heritage happens August 24 through 27 at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in Vevay.
