(Harrison, Oh.) – Here is a whole new way to look at the City of Harrison.
“Boundless”, a video about the city and its surrounding area, was premiered at the Harrison High School Activity Center on Thursday, July 13. The video was produced by Iron House Studios, Cincinnati.
The video portrays greater Harrison as a great place to live, work, and do business.
“I’ve seen this in other places where communities have done videos to promote their community,” says Shannon Hamons, City of Harrison Economic Development Director. “I though this would be a good thing for us to do in the City of Harrison because we are growing. I think people have a tendency to think we are stuck out in the middle of a cornfield and not much is happening. I think this video shows we are a growing, thriving community.”
Appearing in the promotional video are plenty of familiar faces and landmarks. Mayor Bill Neyer introduces viewers to Harrison. Big and small businesses, such as JTM Food Group and the Harrison Home Bakery, make cameos.
The video brags on the area’s schools, library, parks, safety services, and more as messages appear on the screen. Hamons says Harrison continues to see retail and residential growth. Although 14,000 people live within the City of Harrison proper, about 155,000 people live within a 10-mile radius of the city.
“Those are the kinds of things we are highlighting in the video,” says Hamons.
“Boundless” will be posted on websites and social media channels of the city, Harrison Township, the Greater Harrison Chamber of Commerce, and elsewhere.
