(Boone County, Ind.) – A former Boone County youth sports coach has been sentenced for producing child pornography.

Michael Schweitzer, who once coached baseball, basketball, football, and wrestling in northern Kentucky, was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court to 35 years in prison. He had reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors in March, pleading guilty to producing and possessing child pornography.

The Hebron resident will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.

Schweitzer, 47, drugged a boy and recorded himself sexually assaulting the child in November of 2012. During the investigation, police seized his phone and discovered on it videos depicting the victim and other minors engaging in sexual conduct.
