(Moores Hill, Ind.) – Donations are being requested to help a Moores Hill teen injured in a dirt bike accident to recover.

Samuel Jordan, 18, was seriously injured when he wrecked his dirt bike on Chesterville Road the evening of August 7. Relatives say Jordan broke his back, some ribs, and suffered a collapsed lung. He’s had surgery to place rods into his back.

Friends of the Jordan family have started a GoFundMe.com page to help the family with medical expenses. So far they’ve raised $680.

An update posted on the GoFundMe.com page Wednesday indicated that Samuel, a South Dearborn High School graduate this past Spring, remains in the hospital in stable condition.

“Sam’s healing is and will be a rollercoaster. We are truly blessed to have everyone praying for us, thank you,” the update stated.
