(Dearborn County, Ind.) – Changing the world one heart at a time, that’s what these young ladies are doing with the group Helpful Hearts of Dearborn County. These pageant girls are on a mission to help those in need and support organizations in our community that make a difference for others. For these young ladies, pageantry is about putting their titles to work to make a difference, support and bring awareness to the needs of their community.
Most recently the members of this organization asked family and friends to collect school supplies. The school supplies went to help three families directly and the rest went to Lawrenceburg Community Schools where Superintendent Galey disbursed them to students who still needed new supplies to begin the school year.
Next up for this dynamic group are two events. A canned food drive to support the Dearborn County Clearinghouse and the families in need of food. And they will also be volunteering for the Heal Don’t Hurt event at South Dearborn High School on October 14th where each October a free run/walk is held at to raise awareness for the very important topic of bullying.
You may see members of Helpful Hearts of Dearborn County out working the concessions at the Lawrenceburg Lion’s Youth Baseball fields, helping in various booths at the local fairs or donating their time cleaning up the cities where they live and play.
If you are interested in having the team join you in your event, to support your cause or if you wish to donate canned foods to their food drive please contact us via our Facebook page Helpful Hearts of Dearborn County.
