Hold The Sirens: Bright Community Festival Happens Fri. & Sat.

(Bright, Ind.) – Hold the sirens because its party time in Bright.
The Bright Community Festival takes place this Friday and Saturday at the Bright Firehouse #1 on Salt Fork Road. Festivities will run from 6:00 p.m. to midnight on Friday and 4:00 to midnight on Saturday.
The annual Bright Community Parade begins at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, starting at Bright Christian Church and ending at the firehouse.
On Friday night, live music will be provided by local favorite Skallywags. Southbound Sound and Bad Habit will take the stage on Saturday.
Other festival activities include booths and games, rides, bungee jump, food, huge beer garden and many raffles.

“This festival is a big part of our year budget,” said Bright Fire Chief Jason Eckhoff. “It’s important for people to understand that when this event does well we succeed, and when we succeed that’s good for the community.”
The Bright Volunteer Fire Department covers the largest geographical and most populated area in Dearborn County. Past fundraisers like the Bright Community Festival has allowed the firehouse to purchase a new life-squad and vital firefighting equipment.
“We really count on fundraisers like this to boost what we can do,” said Eckhoff.
