“This festival is a big part of our year budget,” said Bright Fire Chief Jason Eckhoff. “It’s important for people to understand that when this event does well we succeed, and when we succeed that’s good for the community.”

The Bright Volunteer Fire Department covers the largest geographical and most populated area in Dearborn County. Past fundraisers like the Bright Community Festival has allowed the firehouse to purchase a new life-squad and vital firefighting equipment.

“We really count on fundraisers like this to boost what we can do,” said Eckhoff.
