(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Southeast Indiana is kicking off the holiday shopping season this month with a variety of special holiday markets and events. Throughout November, the region will host several shopping events featuring arts and crafts, unique gift items, handmade goods and more.

Discover a huge selection of gift items by local artisans and shop the silent auction at the Dearborn Highlands Arts Council’s Arts Alive Art Fair & Gift Bazaar (now through December 16 at the Arts Council Gallery, 331 Walnut Street, Lawrenceburg), then get stocked up for the season at the Holiday Shopping Expo (November 17-19 at the Lawrenceburg Event Center).

Next up: two holiday shopping events at the Lawrenceburg Fairgrounds. The Over the Moon Vintage Holiday Market (November 17-18) features a huge assortment of vintage, urban and salvaged goods, while the International Fair Trade Sale (November 30-December 2) offers a large selection of handcrafted goods made by people from around the world.

The communities of Lawrenceburg and Aurora will also be hosting their annual Small Business Saturday events.  Both are planned for Saturday, November 25 and will offer merchant promotions and fun activities throughout the day.

Finally, the Dearborn County Tourism Bureau’s “Shop Southeast Indiana: Vintage, Handmade, DIY & Crafts” promotion is still going strong.  The free publication and website (www.shopsoutheastindiana.com)_ offers shoppers a guide to great vintage and handmade goods found throughout the region, plus special discounts and deals redeemable at Shop Southeast Indiana merchants.
