(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The chairman of the Indiana Democratic Party will be in Lawrenceburg on Thursday.
John Zody will talk with citizens about local issues at a “Chair Chat” event at the Lawrenceburg Public Library’s Ewbank Room.
The meeting with Zody will start at 7:00 p.m.
Lately, Zody has been critical of Indiana Republicans for stagnant wages in the state after a recent report showed Indiana households make $5,000 per year less than the national average.
He has also spokes out against the latest attempt by Republicans on Capitol Hill to repeal the Affordable Care Act. The Cassidy-Graham repeal bill in the U.S. Senate could impact more than 400,000 Hoosiers who are covered by the ACA-funded Healthy Indiana Plan.
“This is just another Republican attempt at taking health care away from working families, pure and simple,” Zody said Monday. “Passing this bill would mean higher heath care costs for working families. Republicans need to listen to the Hoosiers they represent and join Democrats in their efforts to stabilize and improve our health care system.”
