Indiana Voter Registration Deadline April 7

(Undated) – Indiana voters need to be aware that there is less than one week to register to vote in the May 6 primary election.
Monday, April 7 at midnight is the registration deadline. Registration can be completed at your county clerk of courts’ office, any Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles branch, or online at www.IndianaVoters.com. In addition to voter registration, IndianaVoters.com offers registration confirmation, voting precinct locations, sample ballots, and other services.
Mailed registration forms must be postmarked by April 7.
Ripley County Clerk of Courts Mary Ann McCoy said that in-person absentee early voting will begin at the Ripley County Courthouse in Versailles on Tuesday, April 8 and continue through Monday, May 5 at noon.Registered voters can cast an early ballot there from 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Voting will be closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Voters in Indiana must show a government-issued photo identification – such as a drivers license or state ID card – in order to cast a ballot.
McCoy said the early voting in her office will be done on touch-screen electronic voting machines.
