Injured Bridge Worker Dies

(Madison, Ind.) – A worker at the Milton-Madison Bridge has died three days after he was hurt at the job site.


Roger Lee Cox, 50, of Austin, Indiana, was injured at the work site on Monday, April 30. He was working in a bucket when he was pinned against an object.


Cox was aircared from the scene to a Louisville hospital. He was taken off of life support on Thursday.


Cox’s employer, Walsh Construction,and the Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration are both investigating the deadly accident.


The victim was a member of the carpenter’s union.
