It’s “Bean” Great! Rising Sun Navy Bean Festival This Weekend

(Rising Sun, Ind.) – Rising Sun gets its turn on the fall festival schedule this weekend with the Navy Bean Festival.

The Navy Bean Fall Festival begins Friday evening and runs through Saturday on the city’s riverfront. It is free to attend for all ages.

Rides open at 5:00 p.m. Friday. There will be live music by the Dallas Moore Band and Mustang Sally Band.

Saturday’s festivities start with the Navy Bean parade at 10:30 a.m. Be sure to hit the Bean Tent for some navy bean soup from noon until 5:00 p.m. Paw Patrol characters will be in the kid zone. Live music will be performed by Whiskey Bent Valley Boys, The Menus, Bad Habit, and the Rusty Griswolds trough the afternoon and evening.

The Rising Sun Sea Plan Splash-In will also be happening both days. Seaplanes from across the U.S. will land and take off on the Ohio River and be on display.

Other attractions during the festival include rides and a petting zoo.
