Ivy Tech Faculty Member Deploys To Kuwait

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – An Ivy Tech Community College faculty member has been deployed to the Middle East to serve with the United States Army Reserve.
Benjamin Eisert, an industrial technology adjunct faculty member and a two-time graduate of Ivy Tech, began his active duty in October and will be deployed for a nine-month mission to Kuwait. Eisert has served in the U.S. Army Reserve for nine years.
Eisert was an adjunct faculty member at the Ivy Tech Lawrenceburg campus and Batesville site for the Industrial Technology program in Fall 2016 and Spring 2017. He is employed full-time at the City of Batesville. He volunteers as a firefighter for the Morris Volunteer Fire Department and the Batesville Fire Department. Eisert’s wife, Shelly, is a Professor of Nursing at Ivy Tech’s Lawrenceburg Campus.
Eisert earned associate degrees from Ivy Tech in industrial technology in 2013 and automotive technology in 2015. He is also a 2001 graduate of University of Northwestern Ohio’s High Performance Technician program and graduated from Batesville High School in 1998.
