(Aurora, Ind.) – Kaitlyn Baker is coming back to the Aurora Farmers Fair, and this time she’s bringing new music.
The 22-year-old from southwest Virginia plans to perform songs from her upcoming EP titled “Blackbird” when she opens for fellow Nashville recording artist Keith Anderson on Saturday, October 7.
Baker’s lastest EP is being dedicated in the memory of her late band member, guitarist Thomas Estep, who was killed in a drunk-driving accident earlier this year.
“The blackbird is sort of an outcast among birds,” Baker said. “The title track of the EP is about standing up for what you believe, and not letting anyone discourage you or get you down. Thomas was a very carefree spirit; very independent.”
This year, Baker will hit the stage at 6:00 p.m. It will be her second consecutive year performing at the Aurora Farmers Fair.
“I had such a great time at the Aurora Farmers Fair last year,” Baker said. “The Aurora Lions Club treated us so well, we can’t wait to come back!”
