UPDATE: Woman Who Shot And Killed Husband Charged With Murder

Update published Thursday, October 5 at 5:26 a.m.: 

Kentucky State Police have released the names of the individuals involved in a fatal shooting in Gallatin County.

The incident happened on the 200 block of Jacobs Ridge Road in Verona around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Police say Debra Hiles, 36, used a handgun to shoot and kill her husband, Robert Hiles. Mrs. Hiles was subsequently taken into custody and charged with Murder.

She is currently being held in the Carroll County Detention Center.

A possible motive is unknown as the investigation continues.

(Verona, Ky.) – Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting in northern Kentucky overnight.

A woman reportedly shot and killed her husband at a home on Jacobs Ridge Road in Verona around 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The woman then called 911.

The names of the individuals involved have not been released at this time.

It’s also unknown if an arrest has been made.
