(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Lawrenceburg Police have charged a suspect with the robbery of a convenience store.
A man swiped cash from the register at the K&K Mini Mart on July 25. At the time, the suspect managed to elude capture.
Last week, Switzerland County resident Justin Gosciniak was arrested for a robbery at Fisk’s General Store in Patriot on July 30. That incident included a similar type of theft and suspect description.
Lawrenceburg Police Lt. Brian Miller said that a Lawrenceburg detective was actually en route to Vevay, Indiana to interview a witness when the Patriot robbery occurred. After sharing case information with investigators, Lawrenceburg Detective Jeremy Shepherd was able to identify Gosciniak as the subject from the K&K Mini Mart robbery.
Gosciniak, 30, has been charged with Robbery (Level 5 felony) and Theft (Class 6 felony) in Dearborn County. He faces similar charges in Switzerland County.
Investigators believe Gosciniak may also be responsible for two more attempted robberies in Lake City, Tennessee and Rocky Top, Tennessee.
