L’Burg’s Winter Wonderland Opening Early; Events Spread Over 7 Days

(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in downtown Lawrenceburg.

Lawrenceburg Main Street has announced that its Winter Wonderland is opening earlier than usual this holiday season with the opening of the ice skating rink at the Pavilion at Todd Creech Park on Saturday, November 18.

The Winter Wonderland Ice Skating Rink will remain open until January 14. A special Teen Night will be held at the ice rink on Friday, November 24 and Friday, December 22.

The annual Small Business Saturday Merchants Cookie Walk takes off at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 25. Attendees will be given a cookie bag and instructions to begin your walk. You can then qualify for some great prizes by collecting cookies from each participating downtown Lawrenceburg shop.

The Christmas season officially gets underway in Lawrenceburg on Sunday, November 26 at 4:30 p.m. with the lighting of the community Christmas Tree and Mayor’s Reception at the Levee Clock Tower on Walnut Street. The Cincinnati Brass Band and Tiger Pizzazz will provide live entertainment.

Santa comes to town on Saturday, December 2. The day will begin with Breakfast with Santa at 9:00 a.m. The Winter Wonderland Parade and PAWS Pet Parade will begin on Tate Street at 12:30 before going down Walnut Street and High Street. Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at 1:00.

The Merchants of Lawrenceburg invite you to “Sip and Shop” on Saturday, December 9. The event will include open houses and special promotions.
