(Richmond, Ind.) – A former Lawrenceburg High School soccer star is shining bright at the collegiate level.

Indiana University East freshman Trevor Lenke was named to the All-River States Conference 2nd Team this past weekend.

The Red Wolves forward finished the regular season with a team leading 13 goals, which was good for fifth in the River States Conference.

Lenke’s first goal of the season was a historic one. Back in August, he tallied the first goal in IU East men’s soccer history in a 1-1 draw against Lourdes University.

On November 4, Lenke scored another historic goal with three minutes remaining in IU East’s River States Conference Tournament quarterfinal against Asbury University. The goal lifted the Red Wolves to a 5-4 win in the program’s first postseason match.

The Red Wolves (9-8-2) will take on Midway University on Thursday in the RSC Tournament semi-finals.
