(Indianapolis, Ind.) – Classrooms across Indiana will be tuned in as the state’s gubernatorial candidates debate for the first time this election season.

Republican Eric Holcomb, Democrat John Gregg, and Libertarian Rex Bell will meet on the stage at Lawrence North High School in Indianapolis. Students, teachers and administrators from seven central Indiana high schools will be in the audience as the three hopefuls discuss education issues.

The debate will start at 10:30 Tuesday morning and you can watch it live on this page in the video player above, courtesy of WFYI-TV.

The debate will be shown in classrooms statewide in partnership with the Indiana Kids Election, an award-winning mock election program sponsored by the Indiana State Bar Association, Indiana Secretary of State and the Indiana Department of Education.

Gregg, Holcomb, and Bell have two more debates scheduled on October 3 and 25.

So far, there are more than 1,300 schools signed up the Indiana Kids Election, representing 89 out of 92 Indiana counties. More than 110,000 students will vote in a mock gubernatorial and presidential election at school on Election Day, November 8.
