(Ripley County, Ind.) – Local authorities are hoping the public can provide information about a man who failed to report to jail.

On October 30, Douglas Cooper pleaded guilty to Operating as a Habitual Traffic Violator (Level 5 felony) and Resisting Law Enforcement (Class A misdemeanor).

Cooper, 40, was sentenced in Ripley County Circuit Court to five years behind bars and one year suspended to probation due to an extensive criminal history that includes 15 prior arrests, five of which were felonies.

Anyone with information should contact Ripley County Communications at (812) 689-5555 or the Indiana State Police at (812) 689-5000.
