Local Farmers Given Dollars To Donate

(Ripley County, Ind.) – Two local farming families are being given the opportunity to donate money to area non-profit groups.

 

The Monsanto Fund’s America’s Farmers Grow Communities program supports local farming communities.  The program allows farmers to register to win $2,500 for their favorite community non-profit organization

 

One winner is selected in each of 1,245 eligible counties in 39 states.

 

Eric and Lisa Riehle won the award in Ripley County and will donate their $2,500 to St. Nicholas School in Sunman.

 

Gary and Rhonda Kerr, of Cedar Grove, were awarded the grant for Franklin County. They chose to donate to the Franklin County 4-H Association.

 

Dearborn, Ohio, and Switzerland counties were not eligible for winners.
