Local High School Graduations

graduation-hats-mortarboards(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – Hundreds of area high school students will turn the tassel this weekend.

Lawrenceburg, South Dearborn, Ryle, and Harrison high schools have their commencements Friday evening.

“It’s been a good year,” said Southwest Local Schools Superintendent Chris Brown. “We have a great graduating class at Harrison.”

The commencement at Lawrenceburg begins at 6:00 p.m. at the high school football field. Ryle and Harrison’s both start at 7:30. South Dearborn’s ceremony gets underway at 8:00 p.m.

Batesville (11:00 a.m.) and Jac-Cen-Del (2:00 p.m.) high school graduations will be held Saturday afternoon.

On Sunday, Franklin County (2:00 p.m.), Rising Sun-Ohio County (2:00 p.m.), and Switzerland County (2:30 p.m.) high schools all hold their graduation ceremonies.

Taylor High School’s first graduating class from the new Three Rivers Educational Campus is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m.

A few graduation ceremonies have already passed. Milan and South Ripley high schools held theirs on May 31. East Central High School graduates walked on June 1. Boone County, Conner, and Cooper high schools held their graduations on June 3, 4, and 5, respectively.
