FRIDAY, DECEMBER 1

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

South Dearborn 87, Jac-Cen-Del 52 – South Dearborn got great performances from Ethan Getz and Isaiah Jefferson with 16 points each. Charlie Tedesco and Alex Shackelford each had 11 points for SD. John Tedesco added 9 points. Jac-Cen-Del was led by Conner Hubbard’s 17 points.

Greensburg 69, Batesville 60

Edinburgh 43, Oldenburg Academy 31

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Franklin County 49, Shelbyville 29 – Every Franklin County varsity player scored in the game. Megan Getz led with 18 points and 3 steals. Kamryn McCool added 8 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks.

South Ripley 67, Rising Sun 36 – Rising Sun’s Lucy Carrigan put up 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals. Danyka Groover added 9 points for the Lady Shiners.

 

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 2

 

BOYS BASKETBALL

Milan 58, Lawrenceburg 55 double overtime – Eagle Country 99.3 Feature Game – Milan got a dramatic win over Lawrenceburg with 15 points from Jacob Burton and 13 from Jed Minnich. Zac Minnich added 12. Curtis White again had the hot hand for Lawrenceburg with a game-high 20 points. Gavin Yoon put in 15 and Jason Morton had 11 points and 9 rebounds.

Franklin County 53, Centerville 43 – Trevor Murray led Franklin County with 16 points.

Rising Sun 85, South Decatur 43

North Decatur 68, South Ripley 63

Morristown 60, Oldenburg Academy 49

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lawrenceburg 55, Milan 52 – Eagle Country 99.3 Feature Game – Lawrenceburg sophomore Juliana Kemper exploded for 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 steals. Macey Radenheimer added 14 points and Justice Chambers put up 10 for LHS. Milan’s Maddy Roell scored 13, Cionna Bailey 11, and Courtney Bruns 10.

East Central 62, Jennings County 38 – EC cruised to the win thanks in part to an 18-point, 8-rebound, 2-block performance from Logan Cox. Alyssa Robben had 17 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Jac-Cen-Del 68, South Dearborn 50 – Mariah Day starred for JCD with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Teammates Paige Ledford and Lilly Simon added 16 and 14 points, respectively. Kyrsten Bond led South Dearborn with 14 points.

Batesville 50, Shelbyville 36 – Gabi Garcia paced Batesville with 15 points. Baylee Rohlfing had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Hattie Westerfeld added 13 points, 3 blocks, and 3 assists.

SWIMMING & DIVING

 

Batesville Sunk At Madison

The Batesville teams swam at the Madison Small School Invitational On Saturday. The BHS girls finished third (245 points) behind first-place North Harrison (350) and second-place Madison (252), but ahead of Silver Creek (214).  Lady Buldlogs winning their event included Sonja Gaulin (50 free), Ashley Daulton (100 free, 100 back), Audra Brewer (100 breast), Halle Renck (100 fly, 200 IM), Gwen Martin (200 free), and the relay teams in the 200 free, 200 medley, and 400 free.

The Batesville boys came in fourth as a team. Their event winners included Grant Meyers (50 free), Ethan Brewer (100 free, 200 free), Skylar Simpson (100 back), Adam Hollowell (100 breast), Quinn Rasnick (500 free), 200 free relay, 200 medley relay, and 400 free relay.
