Jac-Cen-Del 64, Lawrenceburg 45 – In a meeting of two of the area’s top girls teams, JCD had the edge. Lilly Simon scored 20 points while Mariah Day added 11. Fellow Eagles Kayla Bowling and Rosie Newhart each had 10 points. Lawrenceburg freshman duo Juliana Kemper and Macey Radenheimer scored 15 and 11, respectively.

South Dearborn Boys, Batesville Girls Win Double Dual
South Dearborn’s AquaKnights boys swept a pair of dual meets defeating Lawrenceburg 52-38 and Batesville 48-35.
First place finishers for South Dearborn boys were Kobi James (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle), Blake Chapman (200 IM, 100 butterfly), Cainan Baxter (50 freestyle, 100 freestyle), William Townsend (100 backstroke), Matthew Hughes (100 backstroke).
Batesville’s girls won over South Dearborn 73-21 and Lawrenceburg 81-13 to improve to 24-4 (10-2 EIAC) on the season. BHS senior Emily Gutzwiller broke the all-time career scoring record (Blair Dunlevy ’04-’08-1099 pts) with 22 points Tuesday to put her career points total at 1120.00.
South Dearborn girls’ first place finishers were McKenzie Bryant (200 IM, 100 butterfly), Georgia Hummel (200 freestyle, 500 freestyle), Kaitlyn Rummel (100 freestyle, 100 backstroke) and Baylee Giesting (100 backstroke).
East Central Splits At Connersville
The East Central boys got a win at Connersville on Tuesday, defeating the Spartans 107-78. Ethan Ayers Edds broke the East Central 6 dive record for the 5th time with a total score of 241.95.
The EC girls lost to Connersville, 96-87. EC’s Alexis deLong had a great night setting a new school record for the 100 meter backstroke at 1:04.02.
