BOYS BASKETBALL

Ripley County Tournament – First Round

South Ripley 58, Jac-Cen-Del 25 – Conner Hubbard led JCD with 8 points.

Batesville 47, Milan 46 – Batesville and South Ripley will play for the county tournament championship on Saturday, January 7 at approximately 8:00 p.m. JCD and Milan will meet for the consolation game starting at 6:00 p.m.

 

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Rivertown Classic – First Round

Switzerland County 47, South Dearborn 43 overtime – Switzerland County’s Hope Tankersly sank a game-tieing free throw with just 12 seconds left in regulation to force overtime. Whitley Schirmer paced the Pacers with 21 points while Britney Beil had 13 to lead South Dearborn.

Lawrenceburg 58, Rising Sun 36 – Freshman Macey Radenheimer hit four three pointers to finish with a team-high 15 points for Lawrenceburg, tieing with Makenna White’s 15 on five three pointers. Rising Sun’s Lucy Carrigan helped the Shiners hang with a game-high 20 points. Lawrenceburg will play Switzerland County in the girls Rivertown Classic championship game on Friday, January 6. The game will be preceded by the consolation match between South Dearborn and Rising Sun starting at 6:00 p.m.
