BOYS BASKETBALL

East Central 62, Richmond 57 overtime – Tyler Koelling starred for East Central with 23 points while freshman center Luke Collinsworth added a double-double with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Oldenburg Academy 36, South Ripley 30 – Oldenburg’s Owen Sporleder scored 10 points and grabbed 10 boards.

 

 

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Lawrenceburg 63, Jac-Cen-Del 53 – Juliana Kemper led Lawrenceburg over 1A #3 Jac-Cen-Del with 32 points, 11 rebounds, 4 steals, 4 blocks, and 2 assists. Makena White posted 11 points and 2 steals for LHS. The Tigers were 21 of 27 at the free throw line. JCD’s Lilly Simon had 20 points and Mariah Day put in 18.

East Central 52, Dayton Dunbar (Ohio) 16 – EC coasted to the win, with Brilan McCory scoring 15 points. Kayla Maxwell added 11 points and 8 rebounds for the Trojans.

SWIMMING & DIVING

South Dearborn Girls, Lawrenceburg Boys Win Tri

Lawrenceburg hosted a tri-meet with South Dearborn and Batesville on Tuesday. The Lawrenceburg boys won with 98 points, ahead of South Dearborn (91) and Batesville (74), thanks to the Tigers having the only diver.

First Place Finishers for the AquaKnights were William Townsend (200 Medley Relay, 100 BK), Blake Chapman (200 Medley Relay, 200 IM, 100 BR), Isaac Houze (200 Medley Relay, 100 FL, 500 FR), and Quinton Rowlett (200 Medley Relay, 200 FR).

In the girls competition, South Dearborn won with 112 points over Batesville (108) and Lawrenceburg (55).

First place finishers for the Lady AquaKnights were Kaitlyn Rummel (200 Medley Relay, 200 FR, 500FR, 400 FR Relay), Holly Kraemer (200 Medley Relay, 200 IM, 100FR, 400 FR Relay), McKenzie Bryant (200 Medley Relay, 100 FL, 400 FR Relay), Tylee Baker (200 Medley Relay), and Ashley Chipman ( 400 FR Relay ).

 

East Central sweeps Connersville

The East Central AquaTrojans took both the boys and girls team victories at home against Connersville Tuesday. The EC girls won 115-68 and the boys won 107-79.

In addition to winning five of the six relays, EC’s individual winners included Kyra Hall (200 Free), Grace Crane (200IM), Jackson Ketcham (200IM, 100 Fly), Alexis deLong (50 Free, 100 Back), Mackenzie Schantz (100 Fly), Jacob Weber (100 Free, 100 Back), Gavin Daniels (500 Free), Klay Shipman (100 Breaststroke).
