IHSAA 3A Regional

South Dearborn 5, Charlestown 0 – Top-ranked South Dearborn earned its second straight regional championship, thanks in part to a complete game shutout by ace pitcher Kooper Vertz. The starter allowed just three hits. The Lady Knights (26-1) advance to the 3A Semi-State against Gibson Southern (26-3) at Brown County High school on Saturday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m.

IHSAA 1A Regional

Rising Sun 2, Hauser 1 – The Lady Shiners were down 1-0 in the 6th inning, but scored a run in the 6th and then the winning run in the 7th to earn the regional championship. Starting pitcher Alix DeDreu pitched a complete game striking out 8 hitters and allowing just four hits. Senior Taylor Mullen and freshman Baylie Hunter accounted for the team’s two RBIs. #2 Rising Sun (22-6) advances to the IHSAA 1A Semi-State against host North Daviess High School (15-11) on Saturday, June 7.
