South Dearborn 6, East Central 4 – South Dearborn is now 14-0 to begin the season.
TRACK AND FIELD
Switzerland girls and boys 1st, Jac-Cen-Del girls were second, while the Eagles’ boys team was 3rd. South Ripley girls were 3rd while the boys were 2nd. Shawe Memorial was 4th in both genders.
Rising Sun boys and Lawrenceburg girls won a tri-meet at Milan Tuesday. The results for the girl’s side of the meet: Lawrenceburg 56, Rising Sun 50 and Milan 38. The results for the boy’s side of the meet: Rising Sun 74, Lawrenceburg 58 and Milan 21. Rising Sun girl participants that placed are: Gracie Jackson 2nd in High Jump (4’0″), Emily Criag 2nd in 300 Hurdles (1:00.37), Emily Craig 2nd in 100 hurdles (21.00), Kenzie Scott first place in 1600m run (6:01)and 3200m run (13:27), Bailey Bake first place in 800m run (2:49) and 2nd in 1600m run ( 6:20), Whitney Chipman first in shot put (32’8″) and Discus (94’10″), Jaimie Williams 3rd in Discus (80’1″). East Central defeated Lawrenceburg 170-220 in a match at Hidden Valley Golf Course Tuesday. EC’s Chad Spencer was medalist with a low score of 39.
South Dearborn dropped a golf match at Greensburg Tuesday. The leader for the Knights was Kyle Worthington. Also competeing were Taylor Johnson, David Sinclair, Ethan Smaltz, Keeton Ballard, and Brian Beemer.

South Dearborn 5, Rushville 0 – South Dearborn dropped a meet with Ruchville 5-0. #1 singles player Shelbi Yoe started off strong by winning the first set 6-4, but ended up dropping the next two sets 1-6, 1-6. #2 singles player Carley Ochs played tough games, but lost in two sets 2-6, 3-6. #3 singles Brianna Johnson had another great showing, but dropped the third set 5-7. #1 doubles team of Molly Schmahl and Breanna Upton played well, but lost both sets with the identical score of 6-4. #2 doubles duo of Kayla Barrett and Cheyenne Burress improved their shot selection throughout their match but was defeated 1-6, 3-6. –via SouthDearbornAthletics.com
