Lawrenceburg 49, Connersville 7 – Eagle Country 99.3 Feature Game

South Dearborn 42, Rushville 21

East Central 51, Greensburg 0 – Alex Maxwell and Isaiah Wheat split quarterback duty for East Central, combining for 177 passing yards, with Wheat tossing a TD. Logan Storie ran for a team-leading 81 yards and atouchdown. Troy Tepee had two goal line rushing touchdowns for EC.

Batesville 29, Franklin County 22 – Batesville quarterback Trey Heidlage was 20-of-30 passing for 272 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. He also ran 21 times for 203 yards and three more scores. Adam Bedel racked up 11 tackles and a sack for the Bulldogs defense.

Milan 29, Providence 12 – David Carpenter was 9-of-18 for 212 yards and a touchdown in quarterbacking the Indians to a win. Jed Minnich rushed 29 times for 218 yards and 2 scores. Jacob Burton added another Milan touchdown with four rushes for 15 yards. Zac Minnich caught 3 passes for 98 yards and a touchdown.

BOYS SOCCER

IHSAA 2A Sectional at Rushville – Championship

Batesville 2, Lawrenceburg 0 – Gabe Straub and Michael Ripperger netted goals off assists from Salvador Blanco and Justin Puente to help Batesville capture the sectional title. Batesville will meet Herron in the 2A regionals at Greensburg on Saturday, October 14 at noon.

 

IHSAA 1A Sectional at Jac-Cen-Del – Championship


Jac-Cen-Del 2, Shawe Memorial 1 – JCD (10-4-4) will play South Knox (8-5-2) in the IHSAA regional round on Saturday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m.

 

 

GIRLS SOCCER

IHSAA 3A Sectional at Mt. Vernon (Fortville) – Championship

East Central 2, Mt. Vernon 1 – With EC down 1-0 at the half, Taylor Hall and Lizzie Kern each kicked goals in the second half to help the Trojans win another sectional championship. Ema Hinton and Mackenzie Hogg had the assists. Jessica Shipman made six saves in the goal. East Central (16-0-2) will play Lawrence North (10-7-3) in the IHSAA regional round at Zionsville on Saturday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m.

 

IHSAA 2A Sectional at Lawrenceburg – Championship


Batesville 2, Lawrenceburg 1 – Taylor Rowlett had a goal and an assist to help lead Batesville to the sectional crown. Marigrace Anderson added a goal and Georgia Gratz had an assist for the Bulldogs. Batesville advances to the IHSAA regional round where they will face a team TBA at New Palestine on Saturday, October 14 at noon.

 

IHSAA 1A Sectional at Rising Sun – Championship

Oldenburg Academy 6, Rising Sun 0 – Oldenburg captures the sectional championship. The Twisters (12-5-2) will play Vincennes Rivet (14-5-1) in the IHSAA regional at Forest Park on Saturday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m.
