CROSS COUNTRY

Southwestern was 3rd, Madison 8th and Switzerland Co. 9th in the boys Big Blue Invitational at Jennings County. Southwestern’s Bradley Winston was 5th overall. In the girls, Madison was 3rd, Switzerland Co. 5th and Southwestern 6th. Leah Anders of Switzerland Co. was the overall winner.

 

 

GIRLS GOLF

Franklin County remained undefeated with a tri-meet win at Liberty Country Club on Tuesday. FC’s team score of 176 was better than Union County’s 189 and Connersville’s 206. FC leader Dana Branstetter was the meet medalist with a score of 39.

 

 

GIRLS SOCCER

East Central 9, Greensburg 0 – EC’s Emma Hinton scored twice to lead the Trojans. Also kicking goals were Emma Paff, Lauren deLong, Mackenzie Kleier, Taylor Hall, Taylor Whitehead, Audrey Griffin, and Josie Mattlin.

Lawrenceburg 2, South Dearborn 1 – Erin Huber was responsible for South Dearborn’s goal. SD keeper Sydnee Holder had 14 saves to keep it close.

Rising Sun 2, Switzerland County 0 – Sydney Pitts scored both goals for the Lady Shiners.

 

 

VOLLEYBALL

Franklin County 3, South Dearborn 1 – 25-9, 23-25, 25-16, 25-23 –  Kayley Schoettelkotte led Franklin County with 11 kills and added 2 digs. Kamryn McCool had 9 kilks, 3 ace serves, and 5 digs. Meredith Bohman had 2 great blocks and added 8 kills and 3 digs. South Dearborn had a great effort from Reagan Willoughby, who tallied 14 digs, 9 kills, 2 ace serves, and a block. Grace Quinlan recorded 7 blocks and a kill. Hannah Halbig and Kennedy Miller each had 12 digs.
