Highlands 1, East Central 0

South Dearborn 6, Madison 1 – South Dearborn’s Lakota Carter kicked three goals. More goals were scored by Charlie Tedesco and Jared Brose. Goals were assisted by Charlie Tedesco, Ethan McGownd, Jared Brose, and Lakota Carter.

Franklin County 9, Greensburg 3 – FC’s Cledith Martin put in 4 goals and Zach Hedges added 2 more. Tommy Ratz, Grant Suding and Spencer Catron also had single goals.

CROSS COUNTRY

Pre-ORVC Meet

The Jac-Cen-Del Lady Eagles ran to a first place finish at the Pre-ORVC Cross Country Meet at Hanover College on Thursday. The South Ripley girls were second and Switzerland County placed third in the team standings. JCD was led by 4th-place finisher Shianna Bellingham 21:47. Switzerland County’s Leah Anders won the race at 20:39, followed by South Ripley’s Megan Cole in second at 21:11, and third place Kasey Baker of Rising Sun at 21:26.

The boys race was won by Southwestern (Hanover). South Ripley came in second thanks to a 9th place performance by senior Dylan Trenkamp at 19:45. The top finisher was Rising Sun’s Trevor Levi, whose first place finish at 17:14 helped Rising Sun place third.

Lawrenceburg 0, Taylor (Ohio) 0 tie

Harrison (Ohio) 6, South Dearborn 0 – South Dearborn keepers Isabella Reed and Sydnee Holder combined to make 11 saves.

VOLLEYBALL

East Central 3, South Dearborn 0 – 25-13, 25-7, 25-13 – Grace Manford led South Dearborn with 5 kills and an ace. Kennedy Miller added 12 digs and 2 kills.

Lawrenceburg 3, South Ripley 0 – 25-3, 25-16, 25-21 – Baylee Blackburn put up 17 kills, 7 digs, and 3 aces for the Tigers. Brooke Boyd had 11 digs, 3 kills, and an ace.

Rising Sun 3, Milan 2 – 21-25, 25-20, 25-16, 16-25, 15-12 – Rising Sun’s Danyka Groover had a big game with 27 kills and 12 blocks. Sydney Bostic tallied 35 digs, 2 kills, and an ace. Caroline Stapleton put up 4 aces and 13 digs.
