Lt. Gov’s Tour Winds Through SEI Thurs.

(St. Leon, Ind.) – Indiana Lieutenant Governor Becky Skillman will visit three southeast Indiana communities on Thursday.


Skillman is continuing her Hoosier Crossroads Tour, an effort to visit each of Indiana’s 92 counties in 18 months.


At 10:00 a.m., Skillman will meet with local tourism officials at the Schenck Mansion Bed & Breakfast in Vevay to receive an update on their progress.


Skillman will then head south to Madison at 11:30. She’ll present Madison Consolidated High School student Noah Miller, 17, with a Hoosier Rising Star Award. Miller earned the award for creating an outdoor space for the community in honor of a teacher.


The lieutenant governor will spend part of the afternoon in St. Leon. She will present a team of seven students from Sunman-Dearborn Middle School and Sunman-Dearborn Intermediate School their own  Hoosier Rising Star Awards. The students are receiving the recognition for their work to restore a historic cemetery after damage from multiple floods.
