Lyness Laces Up Sneakers To Fight Cancer
Press release from State Rep. Randall Lyness (R-West Harrison)
(Indianapolis, Ind.) – State Rep. Randy Lyness (R-West Harrison) paired his sneakers with his suit today at the Statehouse to help raise cancer awareness.
“This disease has touched the lives of many Hoosiers. This year alone, more than 35,000 Hoosiers could be diagnosed with cancer,” Lyness said. “There are many ways to increase awareness and raise money for research, and I am happy to stand up to cancer by wearing sneakers with my colleagues.”
The Suits and Sneakers challenge is an annual event sponsored by the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches to help raise cancer awareness and support those affected by the disease.
