Metamora Man Accused Of Punching Victim

(Metamora, Ind.) – A Metamora man is accused of striking a person in the face.

Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a domestic violence situation at a home on State Road 229 around 12:26 a.m. on Sunday, August 13.

Upon arrival, deputies located several people outside of the home, including Timothy R. Daniels.

Deputies say Daniels, 30, allegedly punched a victim in the face and then fled the scene with a juvenile. The alleged victim was transported to an area hospital by Laurel EMS #3.

Daniels and the juvenile were later located at a residence on US 52 near Metamora.

The juvenile was released to the custody of his guardian while Daniels was arrested and charged with Battery (Level 6 felony).

Daniels was lodged in the Franklin County Security Center on $5,000 cash surety bond. If convicted, he could face up to two and a half years in prison, and up to a $10,000 fine.
