(Aurora, Ind.) – An active meth lab was discovered in a multi-family apartment building in Aurora on Tuesday morning.

“You can imagine the hazards with all the individuals living there,” Aurora Chief of Police Josh Daugherty tells Eagle Country 99.3.

The lab was located during the serving of a search warrant in a unit of the apartment building at 203 Main Street. Daugherty says that arrests were made, but the names won’t be released until formal charges are filed sometime Wednesday.

Not only was meth in the process of being cooked when police found it, but there was also a three-year-old child in the residence, the chief said.

The Indiana State Police Meth Suppression Team assisted in disposing of the hazardous materials.
