Meth Labs Found In Hotel

Meth Bust(Sparta, Ky.) – Four people are arrested after police made a shocking discovery inside a Gallatin County hotel.


Kentucky State Police troopers and Gallatin County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Speedway Inn in Sparta after a person called to report a suspicious smell about 9:00 a.m. Friday.


The officers soon discovered two active meth labs and meth-making ingredients in a hotel room.


Four people were charged with Manufacturing Methamphetamine, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Defaced Firearm, Possession of Marijuana, and Wanton Endangerment 1st.


The suspects are: Andrew Jones, 22, of Carrollton; Sarah Smith, 21, of Winchester; Tyler Wilson, 21, of Sparta; and Calista Robertson, 22, of Worthville. They were each taken to the Carroll County Detention Center.


The inn was temporarily evacuated while the labs were disposed of by Troopers. No children were present.
