(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – A woman was charged with drug possession after attempting to flee from police in Lawrenceburg last week.

Twenty-year-old Jenna C. Riley was encountered by police in downtown Lawrenceburg on November 6 following a report of a suspicious female in a parking lot. After she allegedly tried to give a false name, Riley ran away from officers down an alley.

Riley attempted to hide inside a pharmacy on U.S. 50, but employees called police with another report of a suspicious female. As officers responded, she fled the store and a foot chase ensued.

She was eventually caught, allegedly in possession of methamphetamine, a syringe, and paraphernalia. Police say Riley stated she ran because she had drugs on her.

Riley in jail charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Syringe, Possession of Paraphernalia, Resisting Law Enforcement, and False Informing.
