(Lawrenceburg, Ind.) – The union representing many workers at the Lawrenceburg Distillery has ratified a new contract with facility owner MGPI of Indiana.

Local 13D of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union ratified a new five-year collective bargaining agreement with the company on Friday, December 1. The contract covers union employees at the distillery starting January 1, 2018 and continuing through 2022.

MGPI executives say the company is pleased with the union’s acceptance of the agreement.

“Our compliments go out to the union’s negotiating team and overall membership for the manner in which discussions were held and thoughts exchanged regarding the various components of this new agreement,” said Dave Rindom, vice president and chief administrative officer.

The previous labor contract between the company and Local 13D became effective on March 6, 2012.
