Missing Person Reports Results In Two Drug-Related Arrests

(Franklin County, Ind.) – A search for a missing woman resulted in two drug-related arrests in Franklin County.
Brandi R. Wall, 49, and Daryl Murrell, 54, both of Laurel, were arrested on August 20 and charged with multiple drug related crimes.
According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, a missing person report was filed earlier that day. The caller reported that his wife had been missing for more than a day.
The missing person, later identified as Brandi Wall, along with Daryl Murrell, were located at a residence on the 200 block of Commerce Street in Laurel.
After receiving a search warrant, deputies say over half-pound of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were located inside the home. At that time, Wall was taken into custody without incident while Murrell allegedly became combative towards officers during his arrest.
Murrell is charged with Battery on Law Enforcement (Level 6 felony), Disorderly Conduct (Class B misdemeanor), Maintaining a Common Nuisance (Level 6 felony), Dealing in Marijuana (Level 6 felony), Possession of Marijuana (Level 6 felony), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class A misdemeanor) and Possession of Paraphernalia with Prior Conviction (Class A misdemeanor).
Wall’s charges include Visiting a Common Nuisance (Class B misdemeanor), Dealing in Marijuana (Class A misdemeanor), Possession of Marijuana (Class B misdemeanor), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Class A misdemeanor) and Possession of Paraphernalia (Class C misdemeanor).
Murrell is currently being housed at the Franklin County Security Center on $5,000 cash surety bond. Wall was released after posting $2,500 bond.
If convicted, Murrell could face up to 2 ½ years in prison, while Wall could get one year behind bars.
